If you are like me, you were raised with the idea that God was the “good guy”, and Satan was the “bad guy”. Somehow, we thought that Satan and God were two equal and powerful beings fighting for our souls. However, Satan is not at the same level as God. See, Satan, just like us, is a creature. So, whether he likes to admit it or not, he is inferior to God, by a lot. The thing is, that although he is smaller, he makes an awful lot of noise.
I’m not suggesting that we should ignore that noise, nor am I suggesting that we can. What I am saying, is that no matter how angry and scary he might seem, God is on our side, and our God is greater. Today, November 23, 2019, at 11 pm there will be a black mass performed in Houston, and we need to pray. So, today and any other day, I beg you not to listen to Satan’s whispers as he says that your prayers don’t matter, because they do. If you know you are in a state of mortal sin, go to confession as quickly as you can, and no matter what you do… don’t stop praying. Cling to the name of Jesus. Repeat the name of Jesus.
Today, more than ever, we are called to forgive all those you haven’t forgiven in the name of Jesus. Today, more than ever, let go of any resentment, any hatred, any doubt you have in your heart and cling to Jesus. Today, more than ever, ask Our Lady to cover you and those you love, your friends, your family, your city, our world with her mantle. May she defend us from temptation, guide us away from sin, and pray for us at the hour of our death. I say today, but I don’t mean the day I am writing this article. I mean, any day you read this. Forgive. Choose love. Cling to God. Hold our Lady’s hand. Fight the devil.
The devil will promise you great things, but the devil is a liar. He is the eternal loser. He already lost. However, he is still trying. He kicks like a drowned man. He is making noise. He is inviting people to dance disguised as crystals and horoscopes and yoga and seemingly harmless things. Don’t dance with the devil, because the devil doesn’t play. Everything he promises, he takes away. It’s time the good guys make more noise than the bad guys. It’s time we prove to the world that we do believe our God is greater.
